The C by Romain Gauthier Titanium Edition Six features a partially open sapphire dial, showcasing the seconds mechanism and escapement. The dial reveals the seconds wheel and escapement assembly, highlighted by a hand-engraved decorative bridge. The intricate decoration extends to the back, where the Grade 5 titanium movement, with its contrasting tones and finishes, is visible.
The design includes off-center hour-minute hands, tapered hour markers, and orange lines marking 5-second intervals at 7 o’clock. Three-dimensional hands and indexes, made from 18k white gold and filled with Super-LumiNova, enhance legibility. The titanium bezel has a unique geometric profile, with polished facets and satin-finished surfaces, continuing around the sapphire crystal on the back. The caseband and lugs are sculpted with satin and polished finishes, and the rubber strap with a titanium pin buckle integrates seamlessly.
The crown, positioned at 2 o’clock, features a rubber ring for easy manipulation and a touch of color. The in-house movement, visible through the display back, features contemporary finger bridges with a ‘stepped’ shape, creating volume and depth. Made from lightweight Grade 5 titanium, the bridges display various finishes, including double bevels and a hand-engraved dimpled texture.
Additional decorative elements include circular-grained gears and ratchet wheel, highly polished click, snail cam, and screws with S-slot heads, and a mainspring barrel lid with snailing decoration. The regulator features a balance wheel with curved arms and calibrated eccentric weights, along with a triangular pallet lever for maximum rigidity.
