The Telemeter Edition JF by Junghans pays homage to a traditional chronograph from 1951, combining telemeter and tachymeter displays. It features a yellow gold-pvd case and a black dial, capturing the elegant yet sporty aesthetic of the original design.
Limited to 150 pieces, this watch is a modern interpretation of a rare gold model from the past, inspired by a personal acquisition of the managing director, Hannes Steim. The telemeter scale, printed in red against a grey background, allows the wearer to measure the distance from events emitting light and sound, such as thunderstorms. The tachymeter scale, encircling the dial’s outer perimeter, measures average speeds.
The watch boasts antireflective sapphire crystal, luminous numerals for readability, and is powered by automatic Caliber J880.3 with refined surfaces and blue screws visible through the case back. It is paired with a black leather strap with grey stitching to complement the telemeter scale.
