Headquartered in Paris, Hermès began as a leather goods company, creating equestrian needs such as gloves, saddles, and more. It evolved into a huge couture company and began making watch straps in the 1920s. Hermès began creating watches in Switzerland in 1978 and has grown to become a fully integrated watch manufacture.
