Established in 2004, HAUTLENCE has been a pioneer in unconventional watchmaking. The Vagabonde Tourbillon Series 3 continues this tradition, showcasing a hands-free time display within a TV-shaped case. The time is displayed through three jumping hour satellites and a central minute disk, with minute numerals in Globolight® on transparent sapphire crystal.
The HAUTLENCE Vagabonde Tourbillon Series 3 is a testament to avant-garde watchmaking, blending traditional techniques with innovative materials. This timepiece features a unique wandering hours display, enhanced by a flying tourbillon and a sculpted dial made from a superconductor material. The copper-niobium superconductor, typically used in particle accelerators, is crafted into a striking honeycomb pattern by James “Black Badger” Thompson. The dial’s design is further accentuated by a ripple-like pattern, creating a dynamic, three-dimensional effect.
The case, water-resistant to 10 ATM, is coated in a deep midnight blue PVD, complemented by a bright white rubber strap and notched crown. The watch is powered by the D30 automatic movement, visible through the sapphire display back. This movement, with a bidirectional pawl winding mechanism, ensures a power reserve of at least 3 days and features a one-minute flying tourbillon with a double hairspring, produced by Precision Engineering AG. The Vagabonde Tourbillon Series 3 not only displays time but also showcases HAUTLENCE’s commitment to artistic and technical mastery in watchmaking.
